Dr Rahamon graduated from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria where he qualified in 2005.
His post-graduation clinical experience started from the University of Lagos Teaching Hospital where he undertook the following:
- General surgery – 3 months
- Internal Medicine – 3 months
- Orthopaedics and trauma – 3 months
He rotated through Massey Children’s Hospital doing:
- General Paediatrics – 3 months
- Neonatal ICU – 3 months
He also went through Lagos Island Maternity doing Obstetrics and Gynaecology for 4 months and later went to Alkaleri General Hospital Bauchi, Nigeria.
Dr Rahamon relocated to South Africa in 2007 where he started working in Port Shepstone Regional Hospital as a senior medical officer working under minimal supervision.
Whilst at Port Shepstone Hospital, he rotated through the following disciplines:
- Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Internal Medicine
- General Surgery
- Orthopaedics
- Emergency and Trauma
- Paediatrics
- Anaesthesia and Intensive Care
Dr Rahamon gained invaluable experience at the Port Shepstone Regional Hospital in the management of a wide range of medical emergencies. He was appointed the trainer in Port Shepstone Hospital for both doctors and nurses alike, in the field of emergency medicine and conducting clinical audits for the Accident and Emergency department.
Dr Rahamon has acquired vast experience while rotating through different specialities.
Dr Rahamon obtained a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a Diploma in Anaesthesia from the College of Medicine South Africa.
Dr Rahamon went into private practice and worked in Netcare Margate Emergency department for a period of 4 years.
He remains conscious of continuing medical education and professional development and was able to obtain the following:
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- ACLS Instructor
- Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Diploma in Anaesthesia
- Diploma in Family Medicine
- Basic Obstetrics Ultrasound
He is presently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Pharmacology at the University of Pretoria.
