Dr Loyiso Sobazile is a Specialist Physician based at Shelly Beach Hospital.
Originally from Mthatha, Eastern Cape, Dr Sobazile graduated from Walter Sisulu University in 2011, completing his internship at the Helen Joseph Hospital in Johannesburg in 2013.
Dr Sobazile then went on to do his community service at the Holy Cross Hospital in Flagstaff where he spent 1 year running the internal medicine department. He then worked as a medical officer at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital for a period of 1 year in various sub-specialties of Internal medicine.
Dr Loyiso Sobazile obtained his Diploma in HIV Management and his Physician Specialization from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa, and his Masters in Medicine (specializing in Internal Medicine) from Wits University.
He practiced in many different departments including Nephrology, Cardiology, Pulmonology and Infectious Diseases in Donald Gordan Private Hospital, Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, Chris Hani Baragwaneth Academic Hospital, Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital and in Helen Joseph Hospital. He also worked in the North West at Tshepong Hospital as part of his specialist training. Thus, increasing his expertise to its fullest potential.
Dr Loyiso Sobazile’s private practice, based in Shelly Beach hospital, focuses mainly on preoperative optimisation for high risk surgeries and complex medical conditions. His future interest is to further specialize in Interventional Cardiology.
